Dragon Boat Races
The Emmanuel “Holy Rowers” have participated in this fundraiser for the Alexandria Museum of Art since its inception in 2011, and we always show up to compete. After taking home the championship in 2016, we have consistently placed in the Top 10 and most recently placed second both in 2022 and 2023.
Mardi Gras Parades
We do love all things Mardi Gras, and you can’t miss the beads hanging in the trees right outside our sanctuary doors. Our Emmanuel “Bus/Float” is an iconic staple in both the Alexandria Children’s Parade as well as the Pineville Light the Night parade.
Connect Groups
These groups give us a chance to try a new activity, start a new hobby or just spend time together. With options such as painting, hiking, disc golf, game nights and supper clubs, we can bond and enjoy making memories together.
Pilgrimage to Bethlehem
One of our most significant gifts to the Cenla community, our Pilgrimage to Bethlehem experience is like no other. This free event welcomes visitors to experience the city of Bethlehem and find themselves in the story of Jesus’ birth. It also brings us together as a church family as all ages participate in sharing the profound truth of Emmanuel, God with us.
