| Call to Worship |
We gather in the peace of our Lord.
We gather in the peace that joins us to one another.
The great love of God has come into our hearts.
Divine love covers the world.
Today we respond to the mercy that has found us.
We respond in song and prayer, in listening and offering.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord. |

| Silent Reflection |
“You are not ministering in Christ’s name because he has set before you a need you can
meet. Your purpose is to communicate in love, kindness, and tenderness the gospel of
Jesus
in your Master’s name. It is enough to be caught up in this sense of divine purpose.”
(Baker James Cauthen)

| The colors of the paraments (Bible markers) and choir stoles help refect the spirit of the particular season of the church year. Green, seen everywhere in plants and trees, symbolizes life
and growth and is used during Ordinary Time. |

| The table displays a few symbols of the many mission actions of Emmanuel. Whether supporting Mexico Missions with Dr. Tom Robinson, taking book bags to the children of Tensas
Parish, sending Dr. Charles Norwood on Medical Mission to Asia, working with Rapides Habitat for Humanity or gathering Operation: Christmas Child shoe boxes, Emmanuel fulflls the call to
world missions beginning with our backyard and going around the world. The fags surrounding our sanctuary remind us that we are a part of missions through our involvement, prayer and
support. |
