Interfaith Dialogues
Interfaith Dialogues are scheduled about once a year. We have been a part of four series which include three different presentations. One of Emmanuel's ministers, along with the rabbi of the Jewish temple and the Imam of the Islamic mosque, present a focused discussion and end with a period of questions and answers. The dialogues rotate among the three faith facilities.
In addition to the Interfaith Dialogues, Emmanuel hosts the annual Holocaust Commemoration Service for the Central Louisiana area. This event, held in the church sanctuary, is coordinated by Rabbi Arnold Task and other faith community leaders. Usually in March or April, this service is both a reminder of the tragedy of the Holocaust and a commitment to work for justice and peace.
